La Leche League of the Sunshine State offers continuing education opportunities with L-CERPs for health care providers.
All of La Leche League's official written materials, such as our books and handouts, have been reviewed by an International Health Advisory Panel comprised of physicians and professionals in the areas of pediatrics, obstetrics, allergy, nutrition, psychology, family practice and related fields.
Our Florida La Leche League Leaders help mothers and families by offering mother-to-mother support, encouragement, education and information, both on the phone and in person at Group Meetings. They have gone through an accreditation process and give suggestions based on The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding by LLLI and The Breastfeeding Answer Book by LLLI, which all Leaders own, and they may own other resources which have gone through our approval process. Leaders do not give medical advice nor do they enter discussions on non-breastfeeding related issues in their activity with La Leche League. If you would like to refer a mother to a La Leche League Leader for support, please see our listing of available LLL Leaders in Florida.
